Sunshine After the Storm

A little sunshine, a little smoke, and a second chance to sparkle.

Cheerful ceramic sunflower beads, originally bought for a project that never quite happened, have finally found their purpose in this one-of-a-kind necklace.

They've been paired with beautiful smoky faceted glass beads, carefully harvested from a tired and broken old necklace that had reached the end of its original life.

Each little arrangement of beads has been individually threaded onto jewellery wire before being linked together by hand to create a delicate chain of flowers and sparkle. A section of reclaimed gold-tone chain and clasp completes the necklace.

A lovely mixture of old and new, bright and smoky — and proof that even abandoned plans and broken jewellery can become something beautiful.
