Still Leaping

This little Pierre Lang gold-plated frog has also been part of my jewellery collection for more than 30 years.

I bought it at a jewellery party and wore it on a gold chain of my own. Somewhere along the way, the chain was lost, but the little frog stayed safely tucked away in my jewellery box.

Time has left its mark. He has lost the crystals from his back, leaving a flower impression. There are the small signs of wear you would expect from a piece that has been around for several decades. But he is still wonderfully tactile, beautifully shaped and far too appealing to spend the rest of his life hidden away.

I've paired the original gold-plated pendant with a reclaimed gold-tone chain and clasp, creating this charming bag charm.
