Retro Revival

There was something wonderfully retro about the donor belt behind this bracelet — and hidden within it was a section that seemed almost ready-made for a completely different life.

Rather than dismantling the individual shell beads, I removed this section from the belt intact. Its arrangement already worked beautifully around the wrist, so there was no reason to change something that didn't need changing.

I simply added a clasp and extension chain, transforming what had once been part of a belt into Retro Revival — a wonderfully wearable bracelet that still carries a little hint of its original retro character.

Sometimes reimagining doesn't mean taking something completely apart and starting again.

Sometimes it's simply about looking at an existing piece differently and recognising what it could become.

And the story of this particular belt isn't finished yet — there are still more beads waiting patiently to discover what they'll become next. 🤎✨
