First Brew

These warm, translucent glass beads have been with me almost from the very beginning of my jewellery-making journey.

They were part of one of my favourite early finds — a little pack of around a dozen beautiful coffee-bean-shaped glass beads discovered in a charity shop when I'd only just decided to start making my own jewellery.

With their rich coffee-brown colouring and beautifully simple shape, they really didn't need much. I've allowed each bead to take centre stage, adding a new gold-tone hook to create a wonderfully uncomplicated pair of drops.

Simple, warm and easy to wear, First Brew may be a new pair of earrings, but the beads themselves carry a little piece of Love to Sparkle history — a reminder of those first finds and first ideas.
