Little Malachite Turtle

A tiny turtle surrounded by beautiful natural greens.

Sometimes a new design begins with components that have simply been waiting for the right idea to come along.

These beautiful natural malachite beads had been sitting patiently amongst my craft supplies, waiting for the perfect project. Then I saw this adorable little turtle in a pack of new charms — and couldn't resist bringing the two together.

The wonderful variations of green within the natural malachite make every bead a little different, creating the perfect setting for the tiny turtle at the centre.

I've threaded them onto new jewellery elastic to create a smaller bracelet designed especially for a child or a very petite wrist.

A little mixture of natural stone, new treasure and an idea that finally gave those waiting beads their perfect purpose. 🐢💚
