Golden Hoop & Chain Clip-ons

These lightweight gold-tone earrings have rather an unusual beginning — their beautiful hoop components were originally part of a belt!

Once removed from their original setting, the hoops were far too lovely to go unused. Another pair from the same belt was transformed into hooked earrings and has already found a new home.

I've added lengths of spare reclaimed gold-tone chain, giving the hoops extra movement and creating a delicate cascading design. They've then been fitted with brand-new gold-tone screw clasps, ready for their new life.

Another lovely example of how even the most unexpected components can sparkle again when they're looked at a little differently.
