Coming Full Circle

At the bottom of a job lot of old and broken jewellery sat one solitary earring. Its post was damaged, its partner long gone, and at first glance it could easily have been dismissed as another unusable piece.

But suspended beneath that damaged fitting was something far too lovely to waste — this beautiful trio of graduated gold-tone circles.

So the earring was carefully dismantled and the decorative section rescued. A rummage through another stash uncovered a simple gold-tone chain, itself reclaimed from an earlier job lot, and suddenly the two pieces belonged together.

What began as a forgotten, damaged single earring has now come full circle, given an entirely new purpose as the focal point of this elegant necklace.

Two discarded pieces. Two completely different origins. One new beginning.
